Diversity leads to better performance. Is it the symptom or the cause?
Fortune 500 companies with at least one diverse member perform 40% better than their all-white-male board-run peers. NASDAQ just made a commitment to require at least one female and one person of color on most NASDAQ listed corporate boards within five years (although they were silent on #LGTBQrepresentation).
Companies that do not include the full talent pool, choosing to expend costly energy on discriminating (intentionally or mindlessly) simply lose out.
Engagement levels are down for LGBTQ workers forced to stay in the closet by a hostile or suspect homophobic environment.
This week #OutLeadership has launched a series of conversations at their first summit (online). Thank you to the leaders presenting. The first panel was eye-opening. Thank you.
