Jason Lorber – comedian and former VT State Representative – headlines in “Comedy at the Core.” His new show wrestles with what 13-year-old Jason thought his life would be…and what it has became (so far).
You may remember Jason from when he performed in David Sedaris’ one-man show “SantaLand Diaries” or when he opened for Joan Rivers.
Jason is known statewide not just for his comedic skills, but also for having served in the Vermont House of Representatives for 8 years, from 2005 to 2012. And his comedy reflects it, politics being one of his staples of comedy.
“I ran for office because I wanted to spend less time with my family,” said Jason. “That’s also why I’m still a comedian.”
Jason has performed comedy nationally, including at French Toast in Los Angeles, Punchline in Atlanta, and for family members of the Vermont National Guard. He also performs regularly at scores of venues in Vermont including the Flynn Main Stage, Middlebury College, the Chandler, Smuggler’s Notch, Higher Ground, at Green Mountain Comedy Festival (headliner), as well as at numerous charity fundraisers.
